Located on the banks of the Ouachita River, the city is steeped in history and there's plenty for lovers of antiques to enjoy. Visit the restored 1913 Missouri Pacific Depot or Poison Spring Battleground Historical Monument, just to name a few. Here are some other interesting things to see and do:   

Missouri Pacific Depot
National Register
Restored 1913 Depot featuring displays of Mo-Pac, Civil War, Grapette, Carmark Pottery and transportation.
Driving Tour of Camden 20 Historic homes, Civil War landmarks and Classic architecture highlight this driving tour of Camden.
The Bragg Home
National Register
Built in 1850 During the Civil War, a skirmish here left minie balls buried in the walls.
The McCollum-Chidester Home
National Register
Built in 1847 and used during the Civil War by both sides.
Poison Spring Battleground Historical Monument Marks the area where Confederate soldiers captured a Union supply train. Hiking trails and picnic sites.
White Oak Lake State Park A favorite fishing spot. Abundant wildlife and trails.
BPW Barn Sale An annual event that has become one of South Arkansas' major arts and crafts festivals.
Daffodil Festival Millions of daffodils, arts and crafts, and private garden tours, 2nd weekend in March.
Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources See the history of the oil industry in Arkansas just 15 miles away.
